So Tweetomatic Profiteer launched today, quietly some might say, not with the big bang associated with some launches but I was able to get a launch copy so I could update you all on my initial thoughts on the product.

So the main product, which if you remember ties together Twitter automation with Clickbank affiliate marketing, is priced at $77. This is a one time purchase so in contrast to a lot of Twitter follower building applications which charge you a monthly subscription, is pretty good going. You’d only have to make a couple of affiliate sales through your new followers and you’d have your money back; everything else after being profit.

There is one OTO (one time offer) to get through though, which effectively unlocks the software to allow to use it with unlimited Twitter accounts. So to recap, the standard version allows you to add 1 Twitter account and use all the functionality to automatically follow / unfollow people in your niche (which you can change at will) and promote related Clickbank products.

The OTO is another $67 but allows you to add an unlimited amount of Twitter accounts and promote different Clickbank products to them, setting up automated tweets for each account, so in theory you could load up 10 accounts, each with different niches, create your own tweets alongside the offers you’ll promote from Clickbank; serious auto pilot cash. Right?

Well there is real potential in this product but it needs a bit of polishing. First up, this isn’t a web hosted application, you need to download it and run it your PC. Which means for true 24×7 automation you’ll need to keep your PC at all times. It does explain that if you want or need to switch off you PC, its fine, the scheduled tweets will simply send when you turn it back on. So not too bad I guess.

What is a bit of a drag is the GUI interface of the tool, it looks and feels basic. Now whilst I’m willing to give things the benefit of the doubt, looks do count, as does useability, and some newbies will be put off by the front end. I’m sure the developers will continue to improve and release much customer friendly interfaces, but right now its a bit lacking.

For example, I run Windows 7 and I was getting a fairly unhelpful “An error occured” when I tried to launch it. Luckily I guessed that I needed to right click it and run it as an administrator but a lot of people wouldn’t have known that.

After that you need to add your first Twitter account and your Clickbank account. You can then create a new campaign and select the account to use, and the keywords to use; both for following other Twitter users and also selecting your niche in Clickbank. When you query Clickbank it searches for the top 10 products related to your keyword and generates 10 Tweets including a short URL which contains your Clickbank affiliate ID. It’s good that it automatically creates the short URL, but I’d like to see stats of how many people are clicking these which doesn’t appear to be available.

You can then add your own scheduled tweets and arrange for them to go out inbetween your affiliate tweets. They recommend 4 to 5 normally tweets before each money tweet; I’d personally go higher, at least at first whilst you are trying to build a following.

Talking of following, the client follows other Twitter users on the keywords you specify, up to 150 users a day (until ratios kick in). You can also ask it to follow other peoples followers. Finally after 3 to 4 days it will automatically begin unfollowing those that haven’t followed you.

Summary

My initial thoughts on Tweetomatic Profiteer are fairly good; it covers the bases you want it to and its interface into Clickbank means you have everything in one place and really does speed up the process of finding related affiliate offers, creating hop links, then shortening them, etc. Very quickly you can have your account setup, on autopilot following people and tweeting both your own tweets and affiliate money makers.

It could use improvements in the interface, at times its a bit clunky and doesn’t have a polished look and feel; that said if it did it would probably be selling for £197 rather than $77.

If you can see past the quirky interface and you understand the benefits the tool can give you it is well worth trying out Tweetomatic Profiteer today. Of course it comes with a 60 day money back offer so you might as well try it.
