* I stopped using Twitollower some time back. It work well and I got loads of followers but I stopped so I could build a relationship with them. To be honest, whilst its great to have loads of followers, unless you can interact with them they are worthless. The old theory of following loads people in the hope they would follow you back doesn’t really cut it in 2011… what does? Get on my list, bottom right of this page, and I’ll keep you updated. My close internet buddies know the real deal, so can you… I’m not saying you shouldn’t try Twitollower but you may be better off focusing on other areas as well…
If you have not heard of Twittollower or you are interested if it lives up to the launch hype, you should enjoy this unbiased review.
Basically there are so many poor Twitter products on the market that you can understand that when I first heard of this product I had a fair level of skepticism. However Ben Shaffer was involved and having been involved with one of his previous projects I was keep to see what he was upto. This time he had teamed up with Tahir Shah, who I hadn’t any experience with but a few searches throwed up some positive feedback, so I thought I’d at least have a look at it.
Now, for those of you who don’t know me, I’ve several years of Internet Marketing under my belt and my sites can be found in numerous niches (and often under different aliases).
I use different ways to drive traffic to each site, sometimes they overlap, it really depends on the niche. I use Twitter in several niches I operate in to build relationships and inform people about what I’m up to (note: the build relationships, which is the key here).
As anyone how has manually tried to build there Twitter followers knows, its a slow process to do it “the Twitter way”… e.g. simply by tweeting and hoping people will find and follow you. For most of us, we want action a bit faster than that. So the next option is to go and find someone who is a similar niche to you and manually follow there followers, hopefully they’ll follow you back.
A fairly boring process but things start to get a bit tricky once you are following 2000 people, as then the Twitter ratios start to kick in. Basically you need approx 90% of the people you follow to be following you before you can add more, which is pretty unlikely, infact you’ll probably only have about 500. So you then need to go and un-follow the people who are not following you and then follow some others, and so on, and so on… Very boring as a manual process.
So this is where a tool would fit in; one which could do the following and un-following automatically leaving you to do the important stuff; e.g. building a relationship with your followers.
Now, I’ve used some semi-automated tools to do this in the past (in other niches) but I’ve found after a while that Twitter gets wise to them and blocks them, or worse, disables your Twitter account. So I backed away from them as well.
Then along comes Twittollow which makes some pretty ambitious claims about being totally hands free, a real “set and forget exercise”. As you know, marketers love that term and they know most people are busy so they’ll jump on anything that sounds easy or without any interaction.
After watching the video and some deliberation I decided I’d give it a go. The sign up process was easy, which includes registering a new Twitter account as they recommend you use a new one, and before long I was inside.
There are four simple videos to watch which walk you through setting up you account for the first time. They are very quick and to the point, which is as expected as the setup process is so simple.
The main thing to consider is what niche you want your new Twitter account to be in as you must pick this during setup and you cannot change it once you have started. There is a pretty exhaustive list to choose from, you simply pick the one that matches the area you are interested in and away you go. This tells Twittollower which people to follow as each niche has a group of existing Twitter accounts attached to it.
That is the setup complete and off it goes. At first I was left thinking, ok, should I do something? So I made some tweets and customised my Twitter homepage a bit more then I went to bed. The next day I checked it, I was following about 300 people and nearly 100 were following me back. So far so good! So I made some more tweets to my new followers and went about doing my normal day to day stuff.
I didn’t check again for a couple more days, then I went back in and awesome… nearly 300 followers. Now I am nearly 2 weeks in and I’m pleased to say I have over 1300 followers and it continues to grow by the day, totally handsfree, absolutely no effort on my behalf which allows to focus on adding value to my tweets and getting to know my followers.
I keep harping on about that point but it so import. I hate people who follow a load of people and then continously send the same message over and over trying to sell some lame product… you will never sell anything like that so forget it. You need to make usefull post that people will want to read and then they may click your links. Overtime you will bond with them and that will open up a world of options. So please, if you do use Twittollower use it the right way, engage with your followers and they will want to know what you have to say, which in the long term will be much more valuable than putting a crappy product they don’t want.
So, in summary, so far I am really pleased with my Twittollower account and I hope it continues to work in such an excellent fashion. I’d love to hear your results with it so check it out here and then leave your comments or tweet me with your experiences.

Hi Michael
How is your experience with Twittollower going? Let me know, I’m looking to buy some form of Twitter automated software in the near future.
John
Hi John
I am really pleased with it, it’s the best hands off, Twitter follower builder that I have used, it is incredible.
Aside from the initial settings which took no time to perform it runs automatically. There is no software to download or install, it all operates on Twittollowers servers which is great because some alternatives require you to run a client locally.
It’s a polished and straight forward solution which consistently gains me 400 to 500 followers a week.
As when anything on Twitter the key is engaging with those folowers, so it would be a mistake to thing you can just send them a bunch of affiliate links and get rich.
However, done the right way; a mixture of relevent thoughts or news, some personal info about what you are up to that allows them to relate to us as a real person and the occasional link to a discreet offer or money page, should see you build an army of interested followers. Don’t forget to look to reply to anyone that takes an interest as in turn others will see you as an active Tweeter to be trusted.
The main thing to consider when setting up your Twittollower account is which Niche it will be in; there are loads available but you must choose one that is going to be relevent to the offers you’ll promote but equally something that you’ll have a passion about.
Motivating yourself to tweet about garden furniture would be tough unless you really enjoy it, so pick wisely.
I hope that helps and let me know how you get on.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks Michael, really helpful.
One thing puzzles me me, apparently at the moment you can only work one niche per account and I presume your followers just keep growing by about 2,000 per month? So do you keep making the same niche offers or do you need to be able to offer new offers in the niche on an ongoing basis?
Also did you look at other Tweet automation apps before choosing this? and what made this stand out? I know there are some which are a one off fee whilst Twittollower is a monthly fee, so it cant be the cost? I have looked at Tweet Attacks and WP Tweet Bomb both of which seem to be one off fee apps and Tweet Attacks seems to have some good features.

Hi John
When you think of a “niche” in Twitter terms, then think pretty broad. This isn’t PPC targetted traffic, its broad niche terms and therefore there will be so many offers you can promote to that niche. Think “pets” rather than “dog training”; how many pets might you cover and how many markets may be within that broad niche? Pet care, pet insurance, how to look after you pet, pet health? Then mix it up with dog training, dog health, the best dog insurance. Do the same with cats and so on. People who love animals love lots of animals.
Most niches are the same, go up a level or two when you pick your primary interest.
Remember, finding the niche is important, offers are 10 a penny; and don’t just think of Clickbank, there are so many incomes streams, like Adsense, Ebay, Amazon, CPA Networks and so on.
If you build up a good following then offers will come and find you, trust me on that.
Don’t forget you should be building a site around your niche and building a list from your Twittollowers so you can keep on making them offers.
I’m not going to knock the other Tweet automation apps you have found, I’ve not used them myself and if the owners what to provide me a review copy I’ll give them a proper review, but in summary:
Tweet Attacks: They admit they run outside of Twitters API and sell it as if its a good point. The API is there to protect Twitter and means they can retain commercial control over their environment. If you are operating outside of the API they will be looking for a way to shut you down so be careful. Also, the concept of Tweet Attacks auto tweeting based on keyword could be exposed to spammers and the like, therefore users could report you for spam and then Twitter will investigate your accounts and likely ban you if they seem the same pattern occuring.
I don’t know much about WP Tweet Bomb aside from it needs to run inside a WordPress blog. Nothing against this as a concept but its not “hands off”. If you are looking at WordPress automation thats a different ball park, so also try Auto Content Cash.
In fact neither of the above are hands off applications, they both need you to keep them operational.
Hence why I rate Twittollower, its totally hands off and it runs remotely which mean your IP will not get flagged. It is run by people I trust and they operate within the API.
Will you continue to get 2000 a month? It depends on the niche and the strength of your tweets, but you can only try it, if it drops too low then you can drop out of Twittollower, either way by then you’ll have a great following without risking your Twitter accounts.
Keep me updated dude!
Fantastic reply!
When you say:
“Will you continue to get 2000 a month? It depends on the niche and the strength of your tweets, but you can only try it, ”
Why would it drop if you continue to do the same things and the niche is broad enough? Otherwise you’d be just tweeting offers to the same people all the time and I wouldn’t think that would work would it? and I wouldn’t have thought you could make serious money unless you could get at least 2000 per month on an ongoing basis?
The thing which mainly concerns me is the ability to only have one account operating, and at $77 per month this seems a bit mean. If it was multi accounts I would probably go ahead right now. Most of the other apps seem to offer the ability to run more than one account.
John
Thanks John
The way it works is the guys at Twittollower research each Niche and work out who the key players are on Twitter for that Niche, they then use them to target their followers, so it depends on how many people in the collective pool there are. New people are joining Twitter all the time so there is no reason to think that you won’t not get 2000 a month, I just pointed it out as plus point really; you are not committed to stay with Twittollower, infact when you get to a high enough profile on Twitter you will be seen as an expert and people will be talking about you, you’ll be listed as such and people will be following you without you looking for them.
I agree multiple accounts would be nice but at least this way you can really focus on doing one well. You only need to make $77 a month and you are covered.
Finally to be truly successful online you need to manage your time carefully and focus on the tasks where you add value, the ones that will make you money or improve your reputation online, as ultimately you are building your brand online and with that trust, which generates leads and loyal customers.
So focus on your strengths and don’t get bogged down in manual tasks that eat up your time, like following / unfollowing people on Twitter. Outsource where possible and for me, approx $2.50 a day to get a high quality outsourcer who will build my followers on complete autopilot, without me having to get even slighlty involved and they do so within the rules of Twitter (which they are automatically monitoring and adjusting in line with changes that Twitter makes) is a no brainer for me, it’s hands off and allows me to add value elsewhere.
I’m glad you are asking the right questions, it proves you are serious about your business and are doing due diligence before spending your money. If you can afford it I would give it a try, I’m happy that I did.
Hi!
I am wondering if this program is still doing well
or if there is another to take it’s place.
Thanks,

Hey Jim
I’m not sure is the honest answer, so I’d probably hold off purchasing just yet.
I’ve no reason to suggest it isn’t but that said, its a fast change world and I wrote this post a while back.
Let me check it out for you and I’ll let you know.
Regards,
Michael
Thank you!
I bought it the month it came out –
but I was unsure of the value of it –
So I unsubscribed.
I now know That:
A list – is a list – is a list!
I am able to get in at the price
I left at ($67), so it might be
a good deal just not sure.
